A one hour lesson focusing on the arguments against God based on the problem of suffering and evil. It encourages students to consider a variety of philosophical arguments for and against God and to tackle them from different perspectives using new terminology. This was used in for GCSE RS Thematic Studies AQA (9-1) - but is adaptable for other exam boards or KS3.
It is fully editable and introduces a variety of new philosophical terminology, activities, a 12 mark practice question, clips and questions and is fully differentiated.

Christianity 9-1 Revision. An engaging pack of resources that helps students to revise Religious Studies Christianity (made for AQA Spec A but easily amendable).
Includes:
A jam-packed Christianity Revision Guide for Christian Practices: This illustrated guide contains many Bible quotes and detailed explanations, with easy student friendly phrasing on everything in Spec A AQA Christianity (Practices). It can easily be printed out and given to students without having to explain any of the terminology as all explanation is here for them. There are lots of quotes for students to study and remember, all highlighted in bold and explained with exact Bible references included.

4 hours of lessons (one is a double) and a quiz which focus on the Easter-tide festivals, from Shrove Tuesday and Lent to Easter Sunday.

The lesson looks at Catholic beliefs and practices, why Catholicism is different to other Christian denominations, some of the history of Catholicism including the Counter-Reformation and whether it is difficult to be Catholic in the modern world.

An easy to use homework project for Year 8 RE. Students investigate, compare and contrast two different belief systems on the subject of Life After Death for a class presentation. They can choose between two religions studied, or include one non-religious / philosophical idea. The aim is to explore the similarities between religions and the comfort they offer people with the shared idea of an afterlife.
All instructions are included. This pack is from the 'Life After Death Unit’ in the Complete Year 8 RE Package.

1 hour, fully resourced lesson which provides an overview and introduction to the Iluminati, investigating whether it is a real alternative religious movement or a conspiracy theory. Students always ask to learn about the Illuminati and I’ve never had an excuse to make a lesson on it until I made this alternative religions and new movements unit - so here it is! This lesson is the sixth in my ‘Alternative Religions and New Movements’ Unit - originally created for year 9, but easily amended for any KS3 / KS4 group. The lesson can easily be used in isolation, however.
The lesson has been left editable and is filled with engaging, well differentiated and fun activities. It is useful for RE or as part of a Fake News Unit, or could be used as a standalone lesson as something different for a drop-down-day.
